Control Turnouts, Lights, and Other Stationary Accessories

Remote control - The AD4 decoder is used to control stationary items such as switch machines, and lights.
Any device, equipped with an accessory decoder, can be activated and controlled from any throttle, local pushbuttons, and/or, the command station.
Perfect For Tortoise, Kato, LGB low current switch machines - Each AD4 output is rated up to 1Amp peak throwing current and 600mA continuous.
It can drive LEDs, relays, incandescent lamps in addition to switch machines.
Local push button control - In addition to commands coming from throttles, the AD4 can be activated with simple push buttons.
Either a single toggle switch or a pair of push buttons can be used.
4 or 8 independent outputs - Each AD4 has 4 paired outputs that can be split into 8 independent outputs.
Track Powered or Dedicated Booster Powered - Power for the Accessory Decoders comes from either track power or a dedicated DCC booster.
However, we strongly recommend a dedicated booster instead of track power so that turnouts can be thrown even if the main track power is shut down due to a derailment.
Supports Operation Mode and Service Mode programming - Configuration of all the decoder features are done via the Command Station's programming track or with "OPS" mode mainline programming.
A simple jumper interlock prevents accidental reprogramming from either the mainline or the programming track.
Programmable activation - AD4 outputs can be set to flash, pulse or continuous on.
Easy Hookup - The AD4 slips into a standard 22 or 44 pin edge card connector to allow easy connection to all of the AD4's functions.
The optional connector features easy-to-use gold plated card fingers for reliable connections. .
